I was born in Tampa, Florida in 1966. Both my parents are full-blooded spaniards and as a result, Spanish was my first language. I went to school in Tampa and graduated from Plant High School in 1984. In 1987, I graduated from the University of Florida in Gainesville with a double major in Spanish and Secondary Education. In 1988, I moved to Atlanta and met my husband. We were married in June of 1989, and waited 7 years to have my son, Nicolas. I began teaching in 1993 at Lassiter High School and later transferred to Kennesaw Mountain and helped open a new school!
I have a true love for the Spanish language and culture and as a teacher, have a strong desire to implant that love to all my students! I enjoy each semester more than the next and, as my kids know, I truly love them all!! |

I was born in Norfolk, VA in 1976 and raised in Virginia Beach, VA. Yes, I'm Virginia from Virginia Beach, Virginia. HAHA. I graduated from First Colonial High School in 1994 and subsequently moved to Georgia in order to attend the University of Georgia. I received my Bachelors of Arts Degree in both Spanish and Political Science in 1998. After graduating from UGA, I was discouraged by many people from teaching because of the "lack of financial rewards" that came with the profession, so I dabbled in the corporate world using my language skills working for Ciba Vision in Mexico City, Mexico, Bellsouth, and later, Turner Broadcasting. After tiring of the "Dilbert-like" lifestyle, and having always wated to be a teacher, I began my teaching career in 2001 at Kennesaw Mountain High School, and I haven't looked back. I love sharing my experiences with the students and interacting with them on a daily basis.
Additionally, I received my Translation Certification from Georgia State University in 2004.
