Graduation Requirements

The State Board of Education offers four diploma options:

* College Preparatory
* College Preparatory With Distinction
* Technology/Career
* Technology/Career With Distinction

with the Class of 2006, a dual seal must be earned by completing the requirements of each seal independently.

A diploma is the official document certifying completion of attendance, a minimum of 22 units of course work including required courses, and a passing score on the appropriate exit exams. The High School Certificate of Attendance is awarded to students who do not complete all of the criteria for a diploma, but who do meet requirements for attendance and units earned. A Special Education Diploma is awarded to special education students who meet provisions of their individualized education plans, but do not meet Cobb County graduation requirements.
