Proper Attire: Proper attire for this class consists of properly fitting clothes that are not so tight as to restrict freedom of movement and not so loose that they cause safety issues. All jewelry must be either removed or placed properly so as not to cause a safety issue. When in doubt as to what jewelry may interfere, leave it in your locked locker. Again, this class emphasizes movement and activity. Athletic shoes are a must. No boots, sandals, flip-flops, or dress shoes will be allowed. School dress codes will be followed and furthermore, it is the coach’s discretion as to what attire follows policy and what is allowed.
Class Procedure and Policies: Each student will dress-out first and meet in the lobby in front of the weight room. No students are allowed in the weight room until a coach is present. No student can leave the weight room without a coach’s permission. No food or drink is allowed unless it is a water bottle. No gum or toothpicks allowed because of trash and most importantly safety (choking). Half of the class time will be in the weight room and the other half in the small gym, big gym, outdoor track and field, or indoor track.
Any students with disabilities that the coach needs to be aware of must be mentioned to insure the safety of the student. Report any such concerns with your coach or the respective administrative staff.
All students are required to bring their own locks. Locks must be a combination lock in order for us to record the combination. No key locks will be allowed and all lockers are subject to search and can be cut off at the coach’s discretion.
No equipment from home will be allowed in class.
