Media Specialist Ms.Tuenge has been a middle school science teacher in Cobb County for 7 years. She obtained her master's in Library Media Technology from Georgia State University in the summer of 2005. Mrs. Sellen has been an elementary media specialist in Pennsylvania and Kansas for 6 years and has also taught middle school language arts. She obtained her master's in Library Science and Media Technology from Mansfield University in Pennsylvania and her master's in Elementary Education from Temple University in PA. |

Media Center Hours: 7:30 am - 7:50 am (we encourage students to watch the announcements) 8:00 am - 2:50 pm Student Check In/Out Policies: All students will be allowed and encouraged to use the library on a daily basis with their classroom passes. 1. Kindergarten and First grade students may check out one book per visit. They are encouraged to come in on a daily basis to help familiarize them with check in and check out procedures as well as learning/practicing their communication skills when they have particular books of interest they are searching for. 2. Second grade students may check out two books per visit. If they are working on their AR goal, they may want to check out one AR book and one non AR book. 3. Third grade students may check out two books per visit. If they are working on their AR goal, they may want to check out a variety of AR books and non AR books. 4. Fourth and Fifth grade students may check out two books per visit. If they are working on their AR goal, they may want to check out a variety of AR books and non AR books. 5. Books may be checked out for two weeks. Lost and damaged books will result in a charge of the replacement cost of the book. Books that are not paid for could result in the child no longer being able to check out until the fine(s) are paid or the book(s) returned. 6. Books will not be checked out before extended holidays. (i.e. Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter break) OVERDUE NOTICES WILL ONLY BE SENT OUT BEFORE CHRISTMAS BREAK AND AGAIN TOWARD THE END OF THE SCHOOL YEAR. THE NOTICE IS JUST A REMINDER THAT THE CHILD STILL MAY HAVE THOSE TITLES, NOT THAT THE BOOKS HAVE TO BE PAID FOR IMMEDIATELY UPON RECEIVING THE NOTICE.
