GEORGIA HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION TEST--WRITING (GHSWT): All students in the 11^thgrade must participate in the GHSWT and must pass the GHSWT to earn a regular education diploma. The writing test requires students to produce a persuasive composition. Testing is scheduled for the morning of September 24^th. Students should make every effort to be in attendance.

PSAT:The PSAT will be administered on Wednesday, October 15, 2008 to all freshmen and sophomores free of charge. All juniors are strongly encouraged to sign up in Guidance between September 10^th and October 8^th. The cost is $13.00 and payment must be made with exact change or a check made out to Lassiter. Please DO NOT mail in your check. The PSAT taken in the junior year is the Scholarship Qualifying Test for National Merit and other scholarships. Remember the last day to sign up for the PSAT is 10/8. There will be no exceptions.

PARENTS & STUDENTS: The Mountain View branch of the Cobb County Public Library will be closed for an extended period for renovations. Please click here for information concerning this closure.

YEARBOOK NEWS: Picture make-up days for 9th, 10th and 11th graders will take place September 8th and 9th during lunch periods in the media center. If you plan to order pictures, complete the order form and write your check made out to Lifetouch. This should be turned in when you come to have your picture taken. FALL SEMESTER PARKING. Parking Applications are now available online. You will also need to download the LHS Policy/Parent Contract Forms, & Truancy & Tardies Form to include in the application. All forms must be completed & turned in together along with a copy of a valid driver's license, tag, and proof of insurance. THERE IS NO SOPHOMORE PARKING FOR THE 2008-2009 SCHOOL YEAR.
