Education: B.S. - Southern College I taught for nineteen years in a private school
system. My experience there was in grades K-4 and 7-9. I have taught for
fourteen years in Cobb County in grades 3 and 4. Different strokes for different folks I love to play in the dirt and make things
grow!

Favorite Educational Quote or Philosophy: 1. Hakuna Matata—It means no worries for the rest of your days. This is something to which I aspire, but alas have not yet achieved. 2. The ultimate purpose of education is to produce individuals who strive for excellence for themselves, their peers, and their community. The well-rounded individual, the total individual, is one in whom the higher ideals of life have been instilled. In this way, students enter the rest of their lives with the valuable lesson that they can make a difference.
Interesting Fact About Me: While I was teaching children who were locked up in jail, there was a shoot-out and one of the students tried to kill me.
Education: B.S. ECE – Kennesaw State University and M.Ed. ECE – Piedmont College Educational Experience: 23 wonderful and exciting years of teaching and more to come! I taught in Albany, Georgia and moved to Atlanta a very long time ago. I taught at the “Old Kennesaw School” in downtown Kennesaw and then moved to Lewis to help open a new school. My husband and I have been married for 31 years and we have the most adorable “red-headed and determined” two year old granddaughter. My son tells me I spoil her but that’s what “Grandmothers do!” My daughter just married over the summer and is pursuing a teacher career. I also enjoy sailing, hiking, camping, and teaching!
