1.      Hakuna Matata—It means no worries for the rest of your days.  This is something to which I aspire, but alas have not yet achieved.

2.      The ultimate purpose of education is to produce individuals who strive for excellence for themselves, their peers, and their community.  The well-rounded individual, the total individual, is one in whom the higher ideals of life have been instilled.  In this way, students enter the rest of their lives with the valuable lesson that they can make a difference.

A TEACHER”S CREED

Look beyond each student’s face:

Try to get in touch with the feelings and the special dreams that mean so very much...

Add a gift of kindness to each lesson you impart; Listen to the ones you teach, and listen with your heart...

Be a teacher who inspires their respect and loyalty;

Be the kind of person you want them to grow to be....

Interesting Facts About Me:

I have taught at Lewis since it opened and have watched the many positive changes that continue to happen.  My husband and I have been married for 31 years and we have the most adorable “red-headed and determined”  two year old granddaughter.   My son tells me I spoil her but that’s what “Grandmothers do!” My daughter just married over the summer and is pursuing a teacher career.  I also enjoy sailing, hiking, camping, and teaching!
