Welcome to Mr. Parsons' Corner in
 the Special Education Department

    Our classroom specializes in learning with students with Autism, Asperger's Syndrome and related developmental disabilities. We utilize a variety of practical solutions for difficult moments as well as those day to day issues of living and growing for students with special needs. Currently Mr. Parsons teaches a variety of subjects geared for transition from the middle school curriculum to high school. The classroom schedule is quite varied which accommodates various grade levels and differing needs.

INTERESTS AND PROFILE SNIPPETS

    Mr. Parsons earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from the University Of Massachusetts at Amherst and later completed a M.S. degree in Experiential Education at Mankato State University in Minnesota. After moving to Georgia he went on to complete a second Master's Degree in Special Education at North Georgia College and State University.
    Interests include white water canoeing, hiking the A.T., playing Chess, bartering PEZ on eBay, creating eccentric wood working projects and enjoying time off at his solar powered cabin.
