Kyra Crosby
Voted Girls Basketball Player of the Year
Kyra Crosby, daughter of Dana Crosby-Beasley and DeAngelo Beasley is
a junior, power forward who scored her 1000th point this
season, average 18.5 points per game, 11.2 rebounds per game, 3.4
blocks per game, 2 steals and 2 assists per game. Kyra was voted by
the Marietta Daily Journal as Cobb County’s Player of the Year; she
was also voted to the All Cobb County Team of the Year and also made
the Naismith Atlanta Tip-off Team. She is being recruited by teams
such as: Baylor, Virginia Tech, Florida State, Georgia State,
Georgia Tech, Wake Forest, Clemson, Auburn, University of Delaware,
Tennessee Tech, University North Carolina of Charlotte, University
of North Carolina of Wilmington, and the University of Louisville
just to name a few.

NAISMITH Awards
Kyra Crosby, Trae Golden and Darrious Garrett
were named to the All-Metro Teams for the
2007-08 season. Congratulations also to
Head Coaches Arthur and Chaykowsky as well as
Assistant Coaches Ford, Thompson, Washington,
and Taylor.

Ben Hubers and William Wynne received All-American Status
for their performance during the indoor track season!
Boys Track Team Wins State Championship

Ben Hubers- won both the 1600m and 3200m, set new state records
in both events, and was named the meet's Most Outstanding
Performer

William Wynne- won both the 110 Hurdles and 300 Hurdles, set a
new state record in the 300H, and also came within 3 tenths of a
second from breaking the national high school record for the
300H.

Chris Wynn, William Wynne, Lonnie Burton, Bobby Onyeukwu, and
Rodney Bryant- each ran either in preliminaries or finals on the
4x400 team that took 1st place and had the fastest time of any
team competing regardless of classification.

Jarvis Tillman- 6th place in the disc

Jimmy Tillis- 7th place in the pole vault

Josh Tolliver- 3rd place in the long jump
