Here is a complete list of the Core Spelling Units.  The words come from the Sitton Spelling Sourcebook Series by Egger Publishing, Inc. Spelling words aren't really mastered until we see them spelled correctly in student writing. We try to make On-Line Spelling Activities to go with each Unit.  The Memory Game has all 5 core words plus one previous core word.  Thank you for reading this note.

East Lansing Schools' have implemented Rebecca Sitton's approach to learning and correctly spelling high frequency words. There are 1200 words in Sitton Spelling Sourcebook Series by Egger Publishing, Inc.  4th  grade is responsible for words 336 through 500 this year which are listed. These words are listed on this website.
