| Cartridges for Kids Contest |

Many thanks to everyone who participated in the MESF sponsored
Cartridges For Kids Recycling Super Contest held before the winter
holiday break. We had an overwhelming response to this contest.
Wil King from Mrs. Brown & Mrs. Smith's 3rd grade class
collected the most recycled items (a whopping 123 items!) and won his
choice of an iPod Nano, Sony PSP, digital camera or mountain bike. Wil
selected the iPod Nano.
Kayla Welte from Ms. Allen's 4th grade class was
randomly selected from all the raffle tickets during morning
announcements in early January.
Students received one raffle ticket for each item they
submitted during the Contest. Kayla also chose to receive the iPod Nano.
Mrs. Richman presented the winners with their prizes.

Recycling is a year-round fundraiser at Murdock. We
recycle cell phones, inkjet & laser cartridges, laptops, digital
cameras, PDAs, iPods, DVD movies, and video consoles and games. Family,
friends,neighbors and local businesses are invited to recycle these
items for our school, too. |
