CRCT Information
Students in
first through fifth grades will take the Criterion Referenced Competency Test (CRCT) from April 16-25, 2007.
First and Second grade will test
April 16th-18th; Third, Fourth and Fifth will test April 16th-20st. April 23rd
through April 25th are reserved for makeup testing.
The Criterion Referenced
Competency Tests are part of the required Assessment Program for the State of
Georgia. Students will be assessed on how well they have learned the content
standards for their grade level. The tests are based on the required state
curriculum and are designed to measure knowledge and skills taught in Georgia
classrooms.
State
legislation mandates that students in 3rd grade must pass the reading portion of
the CRCT, and 5th graders must pass both reading and mathematics on each to be
considered for promotion to the next grade level.
