CRCT Information

Students in first through fifth grades will take the Criterion Referenced Competency Test (CRCT) from April 16-25, 2007.

First and Second grade will test April 16th-18th; Third, Fourth and Fifth will test April 16th-20st.  April 23rd through April 25th are reserved for makeup testing.

The Criterion Referenced Competency Tests are part of the required Assessment Program for the State of Georgia.  Students will be assessed on how well they have learned the content standards for their grade level.  The tests are based on the required state curriculum and are designed to measure knowledge and skills taught in Georgia classrooms.

State legislation mandates that students in 3rd grade must pass the reading portion of the CRCT, and 5th graders must pass both reading and mathematics on each to be considered for promotion to the next grade level.
