Student Checkout Policy |
The Media
Center is open to all students for check out, individual or group
research, and whole class activities from 7:25 until 2:20 daily. |
Kindergarten
students may check out one book. First grade through fifth grade students
may check out two books. |
All books
may be checked out for two weeks. If a student is not finished with the
book, they may come to the Media Center to renew the book for an
additional two weeks. Students should choose books that they can
comfortably finish reading within that time. |
| Third through fifth grade
students may check out magazines as one of their checkout items. Magazines
are to be returned within 3 days. |
Students are
responsible for reimbursing the school for books that are lost or damaged
beyond use. A lost or damaged letter will be printed and sent home with
the student. |
| If a student has a lost or
damaged book that is more than 2 weeks overdue, he or she will not be able
to check out another book until the book is turned in or paid for.
Payments will be refunded if the book is found at a later date. |
Students may
place a reserve on any book title. This is especially helpful for popular
titles. The student will be notified when the reserved book is available.
