Holes is the story of Camp Green Lake .

They dug holes all day in the hot sun. They are supposed to be digging holes to be building character. But what they don't know is that they are really digging to find treasure. One-hundred years ago Camp Green Lake had a lake and a town. In that town they had Sam the onion man, Ms. Katherine, the town's teacher and Mr. Trout Walker. After Sam died from getting shot for kissing Ms Katherine, Ms. Katherine became known as Kissing Kate Barlow. When she kissed men, she shot them and took their stuff. Holes was a good story because it had discipline and it was funny.

Holes was a pretty good book. It was funny, moving and heart warming.

All of the book took place at Camp Green Lake . Zero kind of made me laugh.Doc said,"Spell DIG. What does DIG spell? Zero said dig, smacked him in the face and ran. Doc replied," No one cares about Hector Zeron." Stanley replied,"I care about Zeo."

Stanley wanted to teach Zero how to read and write. Stanley would teach and Zero would dig. Zero was homeless and had no one to go to-no friends, no family, no nothing.That was the sad part. There were yellow spotted lizards in the movie. Killer little things. In the last part of the movie Zero goes home with Stanley . They get a good part of the money. Zero hire a private investigator to find his mom and it goes through. Zero and Stanley become neighbors and live happily ever after.
