Mu Alpha Theta is the national math honor society, sponsored at Pebblebrook by Sandra Washington.  To be invited to join MAT, students must be a junior, hold a GPA of 3.5or better,  and be enrolled or have taken Algebra II or higher.  Students must earn five service points to maintain membership

MAT participates in the Adopt-a-Highway program and gives toys to Toys For Tots during the winter holidays.

Any PHS students interested in becoming involved with MAT should see Ms. Washington.

The PHS Math Team is a competitive club sponsored by Roopa Yadavalli.  It is open to any student enrolled in an honors level math class.  Students compete in county and state tournaments within Georgia.

• Winter Tournament: November 12, 2007 @ Osborne HS

• Spring Tournament: February 11 or 25 @ Marietta HS

• TriMathelon: March 31, 2007 @ Harrison HS
