About Me

My birthplace is Schweinfurt, Germany. My parents immigrated to the United States in 1950.

I have lived in many different places-New York City, Vineland, NJ, New Haven, CT, Atlanta, GA, Jacksonville, FL, Jackson, TN, Jacksonville, FL, and Greensboro, NC. These places defined my formative years through college.

I attended Western Guilford High School in Greensboro, NC from 8th grade through college. Guilford College is where I received my AB in History in 1972. This is a small Quaker college also known as Society of Friends. Only 1000 students attended Guilford. I received a quality education there because your professors really knew you!

I got married in 1974 and started moving around again. I lived in Orangeburg, SC, Columbia, SC, Anderson, SC, Gastonia, NC, Albany, GA, and finally Atlanta, GA again!

Because I stayed home with my family I didn’t get back into education till 1990. I started teaching in Albany, GA, first as a paraprofessional and later as a Social Studies teacher.

I have been teaching 16 years and really enjoy my profession.

I came to Pebblebrook in 2000. I teach AP Human Geography, Honors Economics, and Government, as well as being the academic coordinator for Governor’s Honors here at Pebblebrook.

I've received my Masters Degree in Educational Leadership at West Georgia in 2004 and am pursuing a Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership.
