The Marketing Principles course is designed to allow the student to develop an understanding of basic marketing concepts used in marketing and business. This course is especially useful to students who plan to pursue a business degree in college. Students will develop skills in marketing, promotion, marketing research, product/service planning, entrepreneurship, and personal selling. Grades will be based on student performance in areas such as group activities/projects, written assignments, role plays, etc.

Students in the Advanced Marketing class will have greater opportunities to apply the skills learned in their Principles class. This class is project driven and is for students who are motivated and have a genuine interest in business and marketing.

The Marketing Co-op class is for marketing students who wish to extend their experience in the marketing program and also get a class credit for their work on-the-job. Students wanting to participate in the co-op program need to submit an application for admission to the class.

All marketing students are encouraged to join DECA “An Association of Marketing Students”.
