The Cobb County School District and Pope High School are very excited about the implementation of a new online software program for grades and attendance.  The new software, named Pinnacle, will replace the i-Parent portal that has been used in the past for parents and guardians to access grades and attendance for students.
The Pinnacle Internet Viewer (PIV) is scheduled to be available on Friday, August 29, 2008.  Sign-Up for Pinnacle and instructions will be made available during the Fall Semester PTSA Open House on August 21, 2008.
Feel free to visit the District's website at http://www.cobbk12.org for more information.

Students: Pope has an enrollment of approximately 2,000 students. The student body is very active, with over 50% participating in athletics and 90% participating in extracurricular activities. Approximately 90% of our graduates go on to college; 80% attend four-year colleges and universities while 10% choose two-year colleges. Pope students achieve high scores on the SAT each year and lead Cobb County in GA High School Graduation Test scores.

Curriculum: Twenty-two credits are required for graduation at Pope, twenty-four for graduation with Distinction. We are on a 4X4 Block schedule, in which students take 4 classes each semester and earn 4 units of credit per semester. The typical schedule contains 2 core classes and 2 electives, or 3 core classes and 1 elective.

Pope offers a wide range of courses, including honors and AP level classes for students pursuing a college preparatory diploma and technical/vocational courses for those seeking a vocational diploma.
