Want To Get Your License?
You will need:

A Certificate of Attendance

  1. These are handled in the Attendance Office office during the hours of 11:50 A.M.–1:45 P.M. on Monday through Thursday ONLY.
  2. The office is closed on student holidays and teacher workdays.
  3. Students may come to Attendance Office during the above hours to complete the form and pay the $2.00 notary fee.
  4. Forms dropped off on Tuesdays will be ready for pick up after two school days. Forms dropped off on Thursdays will be ready for pick up on the next Tuesday.
  5. Certificates of Attendance must be submitted to Department of Motor Vehicles within 30 days.
  6. Certificates of Re-enrollment/Reinstate for suspended license will follow the same guidelines as above. Bring the certified letter of notification from DMV to Attendance Office.
  7. During the summer months Certificates of Attendance are handled through the school secretary in the main office.

Alcohol Drug Awareness Program (ADAP) is offered to ninth graders and students new to Pope. (Date TBA) Replacement cards are $2.00; forms can be obtained through Dr. Wheeler.

We do not distribute driving manual. They may be picked up at local Department of Public Safety locations. Visit Georgia.gov for additional information including the requirements, locations, and manual.

Driver’s Education Programs:
Marietta/Cobb Driver’s Education Program is licensed by the Georgia Department of Public Safety and offers a course based on the State Department of Education Curriculum. Contact them at 770.429.3170 or 770.429.3171 for more information.
