v      Cumulative GPA 3.75 on a 4.0 scale

v      Student must be registered to vote

v      Evidence of self esteem and concern to others documented by a letter of reference from someone outside of the family

v      Student must have participated in at least three (3) different competitive interscholastic activities (e.g., athletics, music and literary events, fairs and exhibits).

v      Student has been appointed by school official or elected to a position of leadership in a minimum of two (2) different activities sponsored by the school.

v      Student has shown evidence of leadership in a minimum of two (2) different youth activities youth activities outside the school, including being appointed by an organization sponsor or elected to a position of leadership or role of responsibility in a minimum of one (1) of these activities.  This does not include paid positions.

In 2007, the six scholarship winners were highlighted in a pre game on-field ceremony where Braves infielder Chris Woodward and Brenda Reid, the Publix manager of media and community relations, presented the recipients with a plaque representing a $2,000 scholarship to the institution each student would be attending.

The scholarships are awarded to graduating seniors who best exemplify the Timber Ridge, motto of “Learning, Caring and Sharing”.
