Digital Camera/Photo Story - Pictures can be taken, printed and used in the classroom.  You may also use them to make slideshows or movies.

  • Have students take pictures of simple machines then have them match the images to the name of the simple machine.

  • Have students take a "shape" walk and take digital pictures of different shapes.  This can also be done for other geometric features such as parallel lines, angles, etc.

  • Take pictures of an activity to use as illustration for procedural writing.  These can also be used for sequencing.  They could also be used in Photo Story as the child narrates.

  • Take pictures of different kinds of food.

  • Take pictures of someone preparing for a party.

  • Take pictures of students practicing good safety practices or role playing unsafe situations.

  • Take pictures from the book to use for retelling.

Graph Club

  • Create a graph of candy colors.

  • Create a graph of favorite kinds of beans.

  • Create a class graph based on the number of people in your family.
