Meet

Mrs. Tansill

America's Choice Math Specialist
for 3rd and 4th grade

    I was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia.  My parents still live in the same house that I was born in.  My mom is a Media Specialist at Margaret Fain Elementary School and my dad is a massage therapist.  I have one younger brother, John, who works for Georgia Tech.

    I went to Jackson Elementary, Sutton Middle, and North Atlanta High.  (My dad and I graduated from the same high school!)  I went to Maryville College in East Tennessee for college and studied both Elementary Education and Sign Language Interpreting.  I received my Masters of Education degree from Kennesaw State University in August 2004.

I got married in April 2003 right before spring break.  Here are a couple of pictures from the wedding.

This is my baby, Scruffles, hanging out in a desk at school.  When she was just a kitten, my dad found her hanging around our mailbox.  We left her outside for a day thinking she would go home, but as far as she was concerned, she had just found her new home.  She is 7 years old and spoiled rotten!  She had a hard time getting used to having a little sister.
