Administration A message from the Principal: Hello and welcome to the 2007 - 2008 school year! As Principal of Sanders Primary, I am looking forward to a school year filled with excitement and success! Thank you for visiting our web site. It is our hope that our web site will provide you with valuable information about our school. I also encourage you to visit our site often as we will attempt to provide timely information to you. It is both an honor and a privilege to educate your child each day. Please help us in our efforts by ensuring that your child is here each day and on time. Our school day begins promptly at 7:50 a.m. Children should be in the classroom ready for instruction at that time. We have a wonderful staff of highly committed educators pursuing one vision: school improvement and meeting the needs of all children. The vision at Sanders is safety, civility, and learning for all. Our school goals are focused on reading comprehension, mathematics problem solving, and writing. On a personal note, I am from Carrollton, Georgia and received my Bachelors, Masters, and Specialist degrees all from the University of West Georgia. I am married and have four children. My oldest son is in the 11th grade at Kennesaw Mountain High School followed by my stepdaughter who is in the 10th grade. My next son is in the 7th grade at McClure Middle. We also have a three year old daughter who excitedly starts preschool this year. This is my 20th year working as an educator in Cobb County. I began my teaching career in Cobb County at Griffin Middle School in 1988 and I have since worked at Due West Elementary, Cheatham Hill Elementary School, and Austell Elementary School. As principal, you can expect that I will reach out to you and ask for your support, ideas, suggestions and involvement. I encourage you to become a member of our team by joining our Parent Teacher Association (PTA). Not only does the PTA support us with volunteers but your donation of $5.00 will help provide many of our great activities. There are all sizes of jobs here for willing volunteers. I hope you will be an active participant of all of our activities here at Sanders. We offer many opportunities for parental involvement as well as a well-stocked parent resource room in which items can be checked out . Lastly, I encourage each of you to be an active participant in your child’s education by ensuring that homework is completed and that each day includes reading time. Remember that children should read independently and be read to. Working together will ensure academic growth for all children. Feel free to contact me if I can ever assist you. Yours in Education,
Kristi Kee Principal A message from the Assistant Principal: Dear Parents, We are glad to have you and your child at Sanders Primary School and look forward to working with you to help your child be successful. This includes helping your child acquire the understanding, skills, ideals, and values necessary to achieve the highest levels of personal development and responsible citizenship. Our excellent staff here at Sanders is dedicated to providing "Learning for All." This year’ s School Improvement Plan includes goals in the areas of reading comprehension, writing, and math problem solving. I am excited to be working with our SIP and Data Teams to track our school’s progress toward achieving these goals. Working with teachers to determine how well students are progressing toward these goals keeps us focused as a staff. The work your children are doing is evidence that out staff is focused on success. I am originally from Heflin, Alabama, and received my Bachelor’s degree from Jacksonville State University. I received my Master’s, Educational Specialist, and Doctor of Education degrees from the University of Alabama. This is my tenth year as a part of the Cobb County School District and my second year at Sanders. I have been fortunate to serve in various roles at the elementary and high school levels. Prior to coming to Cobb County, I taught in Rome City School District in northwest Georgia. Please take every opportunity to become acquainted with Sanders and encourage your child to talk about school, attend parent-teacher conferences, visit the school, and participate in PTA. We look forward to developing a meaningful and working home-school relationship. I am pleased and honored to have the opportunity to work with your and your children.
Yours sincerely,
Jeffrey K. Robinson, Ed.D Assistant Principal
