Sedalia Park Charter School Summary
Sedalia Park has been a charter
school since 1996. We were one of the first twelve schools in the
state to become a converted charter school. A converted charter
school is a public school that established a contract between
parents, staff and local and state boards of education. The contract
is based on an academic performance goal.
Charter Academic Goal of Sedalia Park
Students that have been enrolled
continuously for three or more years will be on or above grade level in reading,
math and writing by the time they leave 5th grade.
Charter Behavior Goal of Sedalia Park
Students will exhibit positive character
traits as outlined in the Contract for Learning.
Charter schools must establish a Governing
Board that allows parents to participate in making decisions and monitoring the
progress toward the goal. Our Governing Board meets monthly on the first
Tuesday of the month with the exception of the month of July. All meetings are
open to the parents and staff of Sedalia Park.
