Meet Dr. Thomas

and Ms. Wacker

I am a native Cobb County resident. I received my undergraduate degree from Georgia State, my masters from Kennesaw State, my specialist from University of Georgia and my EDD program from Samford University in Birmingham. I have been in education for 22 years. I've taught second, third and special ed. classes and served as Learner Support Strategist. This is my ninth year as principal of Sedalia Park.

I have three wonderful children who all attended Sedalia Park and graduated from Wheeler before graduating from different colleges. My husband and I live in this community which strengthens my commitment to ensuring that Sedalia Park remains a school of excellence.

Her total years in education number 24 with teaching jobs in Mobile and Baldwin counties in Alabama, Tamuning, Guam and at Lindley Middle School here in Cobb County.

Ms. Wacker received her Bachelor’s degree in Special Education from The University of Alabama and her Masters degree from the University of South Alabama. She completed her Educational Specialists degree at the University of West Georgia in 2005. Her goal is to complete her Doctorate degree in the next few years.
