Spelling Bee
Fourth and fifth grade students participate in a local spelling bee. The winner of our bee represents the school at the District Bee which includes students from all Cobb County Elementary and Middle schools. Students can be in fourth through eighth grade to participate in the bee. The winner of the district moves to state. This bee is sponsored by the Georgia Association of Educators.
Science Olympiad
Olympiad Kids
This is a hands-on competition where students compete in specific events relating to science. Fifteen students are selected by their faculty leader to represent our school in this competition. The program is sponsored by Cobb County Schools in conjunction with Cobb EMC and is held at the Southern Tech campus. In 2002 Sedalia Park came in 4th place out of 53 elementary schools. Mrs. Linda Leland is our Science Olympiad coach and works with the students in after school sessions to prepare for the event.
