Horizons is an innovative program that provides direct instruction in reading and spelling. Strategies, skills and concepts are taught and reviewed frequently. Students are assessed after every ten lessons. Independent reading is an integral part of the Horizons Program.

Math Grouping

Students in second through fifth grade are grouped based on achievement test scores. Instruction is provided to a more homogenous group. Students working below grade level have additional support in their classes provided by an Early Intervention teacher.
