LINKS:
PHILOSOPHY:
Education is the key to the future. The
Partners in Education program aims to enrich the learning experience for Cobb children,
contributing directly to the quality of life for coming generations. An organization is
matched with a school, a class, or a school program to volunteer support, extra funding,
or unique services matched to the school's needs.
BACKGROUND:
After a Cobb County Chamber task force
researched various partners programs throughout the country, the Partners in Education
program was established in 1986. The Cobb program is designed to be flexible in scope and
time commitment to encourage involvement by a variety of businesses.
GOALS:
ADMINISTRATION:
The program is administered through the
Cobb Chamber Education Department and is guided by a volunteer committee made up of
educators and business people.
