Uniforms are worn Monday through Thursday. If you have any gently worn uniforms or gently used books you would like to donate, please send them to school. We will gladly use them! Thanks!

Please remember to bring a snack each day. First grade follows the Dynamic Dozen Snack Policy:

Dynamic Dozen

Snack Policy

·         fresh fruits or vegetables

·         dried fruits

·         trail mix (or nuts)

·         plain popcorn

·         pretzels

·         rice cakes

·         crackers

·         graham crackers

·         granola bars

·         peanut butter

·         cheese

Other snacks can be eaten when we go to lunch.

Also, please remember to wear comfortable tennis shoes to school each day. We have had several students slip out of their shoes.

We have homework each night of the week. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights we have both Math and Spelling homework. On Friday nights and over the weekend, please read with your child and sign their weekly behavior sheet. Feel free ANY TIME to review Math facts, (Addition and Subtraction).

Our Library Day is FRIDAY every week.  We get to hear a story, check out books, and even take AR tests on the computer! Please make sure that your child remembers to bring their library book each week in order to check out a new book.

READ, READ, READ THOSE

AR BOOKS!

Each child has an AR goal they are working to accomplish. Each nine weeks the children set a goal for themselves concerning how many AR tests they will take and pass. Please encourage your child to read their AR books. You can even read these books with your child. When they feel they are prepared, they can take an AR test on the computer. If the students earn 80% on the test, they have passed it.
