statistics Backwards
The front page headline in
the August 20th MDJ
incorrectly reported that
Sprayberry High School was
among the schools that did
not increase their
graduation rate. The
reported percentages were
reversed. The correct
graduation rate should read
79% for 2007 and 81.3% for
2008.

Important Vote on
September 16
SPLOST stands for Special
Purpose Local Option Sales
Tax. It is a one-cent tax on
all consumer goods that must
be approved by voters in a
referendum. SPLOST receipts
can be used only for school
related capital
improvements. The current
SPLOST in Cobb County
expires Dec. 31, 2008.
