Field Trips:
All students enrolled in special ed.
will be eligible to attend field trip this year to area technical schools and community
colleges. Trips will be scheduled to:

grades)
§
Chattahoochee Technical
College (11th & 12th grades)
§
Gwinnett Technical
College (11th & 12th
grades)
§
Georgia Perimeter College (11th & 12th
grades)
RVI Club Events:
Any special needs student may participate
in RVI Club activities by contacting Mrs. Sloan. The format of the club will be designed by participating students at the
first meeting. We will probably meet
2 times per month after school and
have a special activity once per month, possibly on Saturday. We may want to participate in an existing Walton Club as a group.

HS/HT Events:
Cobb County Schools is a participant in
HS/HT which is a national enrichment program designed to meet
the needs of students with disabilities and who are interested in science,
math and technology and are planning to continue their
education in a related field after high school. The council will work closely with industry to arrange site
visits and summer internships. You may get more information from visiting
the national site.
WEB Activities:
All special needs students enrolled in
technical classes should use this time to work with the instructor
and myself to “catch up” on any work in those classes. Students also may be scheduled for
interest and aptitude testing (which is a requirement of
all special needs students) and avoid losing precious class time.
