College Corner

The Wheeler High School College Corner is staffed and maintained by the Academic Booster Club. It is open to all Wheeler parents and students daily from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Parent volunteers are available every day during all lunch periods (11:30-2:00) to assist you.

  • Reference books on preparing successful applications and essays
  • ACT and SAT information:
    Test preparation CDs for check-out; test registration and preparation bulletins; information on local test prep courses; many test reference books including real SATs.

    Up-to-date list of available scholarships; scholarship descriptions and applications; reference books on financing college; HOPE scholarship details.

College Visits
Representatives of many colleges will visit Wheeler throughout the year Click here to see the current schedule Students who wish to meet with the representatives should obtain a pass from the Guidance Office if they need to miss a class.

PROBE College Fairs
A good way to speak with representatives from many colleges at once is to attend a PROBE or college fair. The PROBE tour travels around the state of Georgia from September to November every year and provides the opportunity for students and parents to speak with over 100 college representatives as well as representatives from the Georgia Student Finance Commission.   • Tuesday, September 20 at North Point Mall  6:00pm-9:00pm
  • Thursday, September 22 at Kennesaw State Univ. Convocation Hall/Gym  6:00pm-8:30pm
  • Monday, September 26 at Cobb Civic Center  6:00pm-8:30pm
