Wheeler
High School won 1st place in the Beautification category
for the Coming Clean in Cobb Challenge sponsored
by Keep Cobb Beautiful for our "Restore the Luster"
program.
2007
Wheeler graduate J.J. Hickson was chosen in the first
round of the 2008 NBA Draft as the 19th selection overall
by the Cleveland Cavaliers.
With Hickson’s selection on Thursday, Wheeler
has now had three first round picks in the NBA Drafts.
Wheeler
teacher, Dr. Tiffany Stark, was named the winner of
the Carlton J. Kell Scholarship Award.
This award is given annually to one Cobb County
teacher in appreciation of their accomplishments.

Wheeler will Close on Fridays during
the Summer
To conserve energy and taxpayer dollars, Cobb County schools
will adopt a 4-day summer schedule effective Monday, June
2 - Friday, July 18. Schools will be open Monday-Thursday.
