Week of January 2

Parents/Guardians, Students, and Staff,
Happy New Year and welcome back to our students and staff. Our teachers and administrators will return on Tuesday, January 3, as they prepare to finalize grades from semester one. We look forward to welcoming all of our students on Thursday, January 5, as we begin the second semester of this school year. We ask that parents help students set academic and social goals for this semester. We want to remind our parents and students that there is a process for schedule changes, and the process is posted below in the attachments. Also, parents we want you to be aware that in Parentvue, you can set up to be notified when your student is absent or tardy to school and class.

Just in case you missed the letter that was sent out after Christmas, we are resending it to make sure that everyone is aware of the passing of one of our beloved students. The letter is in the attachment. Please keep the family in your thoughts and prayers. Our counseling team will be available to support students and teachers.

For the safety of all students, we want to remind parents and students that all students are expected to leave the building each day no later than by 4 PM unless the student has tutoring or is involved with a club or sport and is under the supervision of a teacher after 4 PM each day.

Thank you,
Dr. Watkins

Counselor's Corner

  • Naviance is a delivery system and college/career search engine, but it also how we communicate with students, parents, and guardians, throughout the year.  Specifically,
  • Your college application process begins with Naviance. Every college you apply to needs to be added to your Naviance account as well.
  • Naviance is also where juniors & seniors use to sign up for college visits, because it’s connected to the system that connects us with college admissions staff (through a system called “RepVisits”).

Campbell IB News

  • Congratulations to CHS IB seniors Marcos San Miguel and Foster Johnson on their recent academic achievements. Marcos has been named as a Semifinalist in the 2022-2023 Coca-Cola Scholars Program.
