Back to School, Everything You Need to Know

At%20A%20Glace%202022_2023-1.pngStudents across the Cobb County School District return to school on Monday, August 1. Staff members are ready to welcome back the 108,000+ students who come through the school doors.

Safety is the number priority in Cobb Schools. That is why the District now has a new assistant superintendent completely dedicated to school safety initiatives. The Cobb Shield website features more details on how the District keeps our schools safe and secure.

Cobb’s team of dedicated bus drivers—many of whom have decades of experience behind the wheel of the big yellow bus—are ready to safely transport over 72,000 students to and from school every day. There are more than 37,000 bus stops throughout the Cobb County School District and about 870 bus routes. Families can learn All About Buses here or listen to The Inside Scoop podcast focused on Cobb Schools Transportation.

All the pricing and menu options for the new school year are included in the article All About Food and Nutrition, you can also learn more about our food and nutrition program by listening to this episode of the Inside Scoop!

Also, our elementary families can easily register their students for the After School Program (ASP) online.

Combined, the veteran educators stepping into new roles as principals this year have more than 300 years of experience helping students. Each principal explained how they define student success, why they are excited to join their new school community, and more in the principal profiles below.
