The time has come to apply for a spot on the KSTV news crew and as a KSE Learning Commons Leader!

Applications will be accepted May 1, 2022 through 11:45 pm on May 27th, 2022. NO LATE APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED. Applications will only be taken through the form below. There are only 14 spots to fill, so this will be a very competitive process. Please take your time completing the questions.


We will be accepting applications from rising 3rd and 4th graders and 4th graders new to King Springs since September 2021, 

This will be a competitive process. Your current teacher will be contacted so they can recommend you for this position.

Please read all of the instructions in this form and complete it in its entirety. 

Applications are due FRIDAY, May 27th, 2022!!!  Late applications will not be accepted.

New KSTV members will be announced at Sneak-A-Peek. 

Parent/guardians need to sign/type their names at the bottom of the form as an acknowledgement of the time commitment.

You will submit a video as part of the application. Please follow the directions on the form.

Students will need to sign in to their Office 365 to complete the form.

Learning Commons Leader

This job is open to rising 2nd - 5th grade students. 

People who previously held Learning Commons Leader jobs do not need to reapply. 

A Learning Commons Leader is a role model in the school and exhibits positive behavior at all times in our school community. The responsibilities of this job are to be taken seriously. You will be trained on all aspects of the job in the first few weeks of school and will be expected to commit for the whole year. 

The job of a Learning Commons Leader requires that you come to work on your assigned mornings by 7:20 to: 

-shelve books,  

-organize shelves, 

-assist other patrons with finding books,  

-book checkout and return,  

-cutting bookmarks,  

-sharpening pencils,  

-making sure pencil cups have paper and pencils in them,  

-any other duties assigned by Ms. McCurry or Mr. Lavender.

Additionally, when your class makes visits to the library, we will expect that you assist classmates with any of the above.  

We will only be taking 10 additional students. You must convince us that we need to have you!
