Senior Luc Mire

Lassiter's very own, Luc Mire, took to the field at Truist Park to throw out the first pitch for the Atlanta Braves during their Sunday, September 18th game against the Phillies.  Luc, who was diagnosed with Leukemia in early 2021, participated in the game as a way to advocate for all children fighting cancer during National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.  A baseball fan and player since the age of five, Luc looked like a natural throwing the first pitch and even received a signed jersey from Braves first baseman, Matt Olson.

After graduation this year, Luc plans to attend Georgia Tech to study neuroscience or biomedical engineering so he can help further the cause of helping children with cancer.
