The first school dance since the onset of the pandemic was held Friday, April 22 at Pine Mountain. Student Council was responsible for the event. Organization sponsors, Victoria Corr, Kim Willis, and Olivia McEvilly, helped students strengthen their leadership skills throughout this event. First, students brainstormed events they would like to see at their school. Next, they presented their proposal to Principal Nelson for approval. After receiving the green light to move forward, students then worked to bring the dance to life. 

Ms. Light and her students helped create decorations. Ms. McEvilly served as the DJ. Over 160 students in grades 6 and 7 attended the event. Special thanks to our PTSA President, Ivy Goolsby, for helping recruit so many parent volunteers, to Officer Lehner for helping with traffic and security, and to Mrs. Corr, Ms. Willis, and Ms. McEvilly for working to make this event possible. This was one of our parent volunteer turn outs in years.
