We are thrilled to celebrate Pine Mountain Middle School as a recipient of the district's IMPACT Award, marking another notable success story from the 2025–2026 school year.
This past year, the Human Resources Department joined forces with the Office of Academics to launch a collaborative recognition initiative. Together, they have been identifying and celebrating schools across our district that embody the following core standards:

Pine Mountain Middle School stood out as a premier example of what it means to cultivate an educational environment rooted in these very principles.
Cultivating a Culture of Success Through PBIS
Pine Mountain Middle School successfully cultivated a vibrant, positive school culture by leaning heavily into Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS). By remaining Intentional and Purposeful, the leadership and staff explicitly taught behavioral expectations, reinforced respectful actions, and empowered students to take genuine ownership of their campus.
The results spoke for themselves throughout the academic year. The student body demonstrated immense buy-in, remaining highly Collaborative as they consistently supported and encouraged one another to meet shared behavioral goals. This peer-to-peer accountability completely transformed the school climate, particularly in high-traffic common areas where community standards matter most.
Taking Pride in Shared Spaces
One of the most notable achievements highlighted by the selection committee was a highly successful, data-informed, grade-level initiative focused on campus stewardship. Pine Mountain students took it upon themselves to spearhead a campaign dedicated to maintaining cleanliness in the school cafeteria and restrooms.
This initiative drastically strengthened school pride and personal responsibility among the student body. Thanks to their consistent dedication, these common areas became routinely neat, welcoming, and beautifully cared for. By remaining Adaptable to the needs of their campus and building Trustworthy habits, Pine Mountain students proved that they value both their school facility and the peers who share it.
