Ms. Corr featured with Pine Mountain Spotlight

Ms. Victoria Corr joined the Pine Mountain Middle School team two years ago. She didn't waste any time jumping right in to help take this award winning team to even higher levels.

Ms. Corr currently serves as the Science Department Chairperson. This year she is a seventh grade science teacher for both general education and advanced content classes. Beginning last year, her leadership helped start our first Summer ASCENT! Program which was geared at helping new sixth grade students not only make some new friends as they started their middle school experience, but also preview some of the information they would be learning in their new classes. In addition, she helped create an ASCENT! Day for select seventh and eighth graders to help them with some extended learning opportunities.

Ms. Corr hasn't stopped there. She has also taken a lead in creating our 6th, 7th, and 8th Grade Experience Handbooks. Each handbook outlines the priority standards for the courses offered in the respective grade levels and outlines the qualifiers to be able to take the courses. She will be helping teachers use these handbooks in our advisement courses to help create student efficacy of their own learning and behavior throughout this school year.

Ms. Corr's demonstration of her mindfulness of the middle school student is one example of why Pine Mountain Middle School is a great place to teach, lead, and learn.
