Some people talk about how much they care for others well being and some people take action. That's our Nurse Armstrong.  She takes action. This week we shine the spotlight on Tammy Armstrong.

Nurse Armstrong serves almost 800 students and staff members each day. From helping students who need to take certain medications or from helping students who took that fall playing basketball in PE, Nurse Armstrong is always there to greet them with a smile and give them some TLC to ensure they get the best treatment we can give them. In addition to working with students, Nurse Armstrong also makes sure all our staff members are taken care of as well. She ensures they receive CPR training, first responder training, AED training, diabetes training and so much more. Moreover, she also is there to meet their personal health care needs by helping organize services like flu shots for her staff.

Beyond doing all these much needed and much appreciated services, she works with families, students, and staff in regard to their COVID concerns and questions. She assists the principal in coordinating the communications with families when needed. Nurse Armstrong never complains about how much she has to do. Instead, she always asks what else can I do.

Please join us in celebrating Nurse Armstrong as we shine the spotlight on her for this week at the Mountain. Her mindfulness of the wellbeing of all those she serves helps make our school the best place to teach, lead, and learn.
