Learning Resources Materials Review 2012-2013
The Cobb County School District is offering the public an opportunity to review textbooks and materials being considered for use in K-12 Mathematics Programs. These materials will be available for public review from March 4th through March 15th, 2013. Review of materials will take place at the Central Administrative building, 514 Glover Street in Marietta during regular office hours of 8 AM to 5 PM.
ESEA Flexibility Waiver Parent Notification
On February 9, 2012 the Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE) received waivers from ten requirements of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) of 1965, as amended by No Child Left Behind (NCLB) of 2001. ESEA/NCLB requires that parents or guardians who have children attending a Title I school be notified of the school’s academic achievement as well as the school’s designation under Georgia’s ESEA Flexibility Waiver. This letter is intended to provide additional information concerning the options available to your child under Georgia’s ESEA Flexibility Waiver and to help you understand what the waiver will mean for you and your child. Kindergarten Registration
Kindergarten registration will take place Wednesday, March 27, 2013, from 8:30 AM – 11:00 AM. Note: Students attending Smyrna Elementary for 2013-2014 currently zoned to Belmont Hills and Argyle should complete Kindergarten registration at Belmont Hills and Argyle.

in the early 1950s in Smyrna, Georgia, a suburb of metro
Atlanta.
