Freedom Challenge Cup Food Drive

This fall, three churches (Freedom, Northstar, and Piedmont) and the City of Acworth are teaming together with some local businesses to help fill the food pantries in the Acworth / Kennesaw area. The 'Freedom Challenge Cup' will be presented to the elementary school that collects the most canned food items. These non-perishable items will be collected at Bullard the week of November 17th - 21st and used to take care of families in our community during the holiday season.  We will host a BOYS vs. GIRLS contest!  Let’s see who can collect the most cans for area food pantries?

Chick-fil-A Biscuits

We will be pre-selling Chick-fil-A biscuits for $2.75.  All proceeds benefit Relay for Life and the American Cancer Society.  Biscuits will be distributed on December 5th, 12th, and 19th.  These are PRE-SALE ONLY.  Orders are due by December 3rd.  Click here to print the order form and send in with your child.  If your child is absent the day of distribution, it will be considered a donation to Relay for Life and the American Cancer Society.

Congratulations to Nikki Brooks for receiving a Cobb School's Foundation Grant to purchase a class set of Reprogrammable Recon 6.0 Rover Robots.  There are many educational benefits from students being exposed to this creative and innovative approach to education.  We are teaching the future engineers and scientists in our schools and need to help supply experiences to keep them competitive with other students around the country.  Reprogrammable Robots will help expose all students to higher level thinking within technology.

Our Mission:   It is the mission of the Bullard Elementary School District Educational Foundation to support and recognize innovative programs that offer hands-on experiences for students. We will work with the community to increase capital improvement, technology and instructional programs for public education.

The foundation's role is to fund elements of education that the County, State and PTSA are unable to provide.   We would love to have more help and support from our Bullard community  in the form of donations, corporate sponsorship, volunteers, committee members or board participation.  This year we will work towards earning money for listening stations for primary classrooms, iPads for each classroom teacher, and educational apps to download on  the iPads that were funded last year!  If you would like to volunteer with the Bullard Foundation, please email us at bullardfoundationpresident@gmail.com.  Please visit our website,  http://www.cobbk12.org/bullard/Bullard_Foundation.aspx
