Congratulations to 4th Grader Alekxei
Bullard School Chess Club Champion.
Bullard placed 10th
is the State in our Reading for the World Record last
summer! 184 schools in Georgia competed (7,334 schools
in all 50 states and 29 countries). This was the 8th
year of the program and the top 20 schools appear in the
Scholastic Book of World Records!
The total number of minutes
read was 304,749,681 (yes- that would be million)
We had 41 students read
over 31,000 minutes! The top class was Debbie
Corrado with 3,741, and 2nd
place went to Stacie Allen with 3,277. All
participating students got a certificate and goodie bag.
The top 2 teachers got a Starbucks gift card!
Congratulations to Nikki Brooks for receiving a Cobb School's
Foundation Grant to purchase a class set of Reprogrammable
Recon 6.0 Rover Robots. There are many educational benefits
from students being exposed to this creative and innovative
approach to education. We are teaching the future engineers and
scientists in our schools and need to help supply experiences to
keep them competitive with other students around the country.
Reprogrammable Robots will help expose all students to higher
level thinking within technology.
Our Mission: It is the mission
of the Bullard Elementary School District Educational Foundation
to support and recognize innovative programs that offer hands-on
experiences for students. We will work with the community to
increase capital improvement, technology and instructional
programs for public education.
role is to fund elements of education that the County, State and
PTSA are unable to provide. We would love to have more help
and support from our Bullard community in the form of
donations, corporate sponsorship, volunteers, committee members
or board participation. This year we will work towards earning
money for listening stations for primary classrooms, iPads for
each classroom teacher, and educational apps to download on the
iPads that were funded last year! If you would like to
volunteer with the Bullard Foundation, please email us at
