Georgia Parent Survey
At Hendricks, we strive to serve our
community to the best of our ability. Would you please
answer a few questions about how we're doing?
The Georgia Parent Survey is modeled after the student
survey and contains 24 questions. Parents may complete the
survey using their personal computer, smartphones or tablet.
All parents are encouraged to participate in the
Georgia Parent Survey because the data will be used as
part of the calculation of the School Climate Star Rating.
Survey responses are anonymous and will be submitted directly to
the Georgia Department of Education for analysis.
Individual data results from the Georgia Parent Survey will not be
available to the public and will not be posted online.

The work our teachers, support staff, front
office and administrators do is important to our school. It is a
full time job keeping a great school great!
We wouldn't have a lot of the special 'extras' that sets
Hendricks apart if it weren't for the hours that our volunteers
give to our school.
If you would like to be a Hendricks volunteer, please check out
all the ways you can help on our Parent
We hope to see you around!
Visit Our Parent Resource Room

This valuable area of our school is a place where parents can borrow materials to supplement students' lessons and even find
self-help materials addressing all things about being a better parent. Please feel free to browse around!
You may contact our parent liaison, Stephanie Jackson, for more information.
Yellow Tags for Bus Riders
If your child is 8 years old and under, regardless of their grade, they should come home with a yellow tag on their backpack for safety reasons.
The bus driver will give you a letter with further details about the yellow tag.
Attention Car Riders
If your child will be a car rider in the afternoons at any time during the school year, you must request a car rider sign.
Buzz-In System Now in Place
Our school has a new system for entering the building through the front doors. With this new system, visitors
need to "Buzz-In" after 8:10am. We know everyone will have many questions about the new system, so our principal has
written a letter to fill you in.
View the letter from Mr. O'Connell for more details.
Hendricks Named a 2012 National Blue Ribbon School!
Hendricks Elementary - formerly Austell Intermediate - was named one of only 219 schools to be awarded the National Blue Ribbon for 2012. We

We are so very proud of our students, teachers and community for being recognized by the United States Department of Education.
Congratulations Hendricks Elementary students and Staff!
