Kindergarten 2016-2017

Nickajack is proud to implement a strand of Dual Language English/Spanish Immersion with two classes of Kindergarten students during the 2016-2017 school year.  This unique model provides instruction and support for students in learning both languages.  Students will split their day between instruction in Spanish and English.

Our plan is to grow this program each year through Grade 5.
Our hope is to instill cultural competence and enhance communication among our students and community.
Our vision and mission is to develop and honor the greatness in everyone and help every child to become a leader.
Our Dual Language English/Spanish Immersion program will help students to become
bi-lingual and bi-literate in an ever changing world.

Nickajack conducted internal audits of our building to examine our arrival and dismissal procedures
as well as our overall ability to keep our students safe and secure during these parts of our day and throughout.  Please know the safety and security of our students is our number one priority.
A letter outlining changes is attached to the image above.  Thank you for your understanding and doing your part to keep us safe!

Congratulations to Ms. Cynthia Wood!

Important Change of Transportation Policy

We want to make sure your student is picked up or taken home from school in the afternoon in the most safe & orderly way possible.

Therefore, Changes in Transportation will no longer be accepted over the phone.

We ask that parents make all transportation arrangements clear before your student leaves for school in the morning. Parents may place a notice of change in the student's folder, or write in their agenda.

If a transportation change is necessary after the start of the school day, the Changes must be made in writing & submitted to office personnel before 1:30 pm.

You may also fax the change to 678-842-5832 but please call to verify that it is received by office personnel.

  1. All written changes must include the student's name, teacher's name, dates the change is effective, & the new mode of transportation.
  2. Parent's contact information & signature is required.

Click Here for Transportation Change Form.

Please do not send dismissal messages via email to the teachers.
