This year, we applied for a Promising Practice grant. The Promising Practices grant is a competitive grant opportunity within the district to support schools that have identified a promising practice that is creative and innovative in approach. The innovative practice for Powder Springs is Arts Integration (AI). We are so excited to announce that were selected as one of the recipients of a Promising Practices Grant! Please read the award notification below:

Congratulations on your selection as a Promising Practices Grant Award recipient! There were 38 schools that applied with over $1.1 Million in requests. The Promising Practices Grant is a locally-funded grant to support schools in promoting the Cobb County School District core belief of creating flexible and innovative learning opportunities that promote increased student achievement. We wish you the best as you implement your plan and look forward to learning from your experiences.

This grant will assist us in implementing Arts Integration with fidelity by funding: professional learning opportunities for our teachers, materials/technology, field trips for our AI classrooms, and after school activities for students.

Thank you to our district for this award which will support our AI initiative at Powder Springs Elementary!
