"Swine Flu Information"
Parents: We are experiencing difficulty with the Durham
Website due to a new district wide server. The county is
working very hard to resolve this problem.
Parents please remember mandatory summer enrichment
activities, access and dates for your calendar are located on
the website. The Skills Tutor activities replaces the former
math packets of on level courses; however, if your student has
already completed this packet, it will be accepted in lieu of
the Skills Tutor Math activities. Students should do the
activities in all content areas: math, social studies, science,
language arts and summer reading. Expect to learn some new
information as we begin to make connections for background
knowledge to help facilitate student success in the coming
school year.
Math I students... remember to go to the Harrison Web
site to access the math packet for Accelerated Math I
activities.

into the 21st Century School framework.

Once you are on the SkillsTutor site please follow the directions
below:
Skills Tutor is a computer based program that helps students enrich
areas of strength and remediate areas of weakness.
The Durham faculty has come
together to decide what important elements are needed for students
to start off the school year on the right foot.
Each grade level has developed a scripted plan for the
subject areas of Science, Math, Language Arts and Social Studies.
Students are expected to complete the assignment from each of
the four subject areas within Skills Tutor with 90% accuracy by
August 24, 2009. You can
log on to Skills Tutor at
www.myskillstutor.com or
by clicking Skills Tutor on the right side of this page.
User Name
Use the complete formal first and last name of the student.
No spaces and no dots.
Password
This will be the Student ID Number (Lunch Code Number).
The computer will ask you to set your password the first time
you login. Make sure
that you use your Student ID Number.
