2 Question Survey for Parents of 3-12 Graders for New ELA Resources, Ends June 3, 2016
The next content acquisition process for the Cobb County School District will include 3-12 English Language Arts. As the district continues to establish a balanced literacy approach for ELA as outlined in The Cobb Commitment, they will consider resources that support this model and address the needs identified through our needs assessment and district data.  Please click on the survey link below to give your input.  We appreciate your support.  All surveys must be completed by June 3rd.

Camp Invention is Enrolling Now for June 13-16, 2016
Be sure your child is a part of something big this summer with our epic program! This engaging, creative, innovative camp is held right here at Sedalia Park! This years modules include CrickoBot, Epic Park, I Can Invent: Maker Studio and The Lab: Where Pigs Fly and Anything is Possible.

Congratulations Mrs. Craft and Target Students, Watershed Stewardship School of the Year!
Congratulations to Mrs. Craft and the 4th & 5th grade Target classes! They earned the Watershed Stewardship School Group of the Year award from Cobb County for 2015! The Watershed Stewardship program awards organizations that have exceeded goals in implementing the 5 Adopt-A-Stream goals: 1) Increase public awareness of the State's nonpoint source pollution and water quality issues, 2) Collect quality baseline water quality data, 3) Gather observations, 4) Encourage partnerships between citizens and their local government, & 5) Provide citizens with the tools and training to evaluate and protect their local waterways.

Congratulations to Dr. Lisa Casey, Sedalia Park's wonderful art teacher!  She was named the Cobb County School District's Elementary Visual Arts Specialist of the Year!!  Thank you for all you do for the students of Sedalia Park....we are proud of you!!

We are so excited to announce that with YOUR HELP, and that of several business contributions, the Sedalia Park Foundation has raised enough money to install a new ADA approved playground for K-2 students. The new playground will be ready to use at the beginning of the new school year!

Registering Your Child in Cobb County?
The Front Office registers new students between 9-11 a.m. Kindergarten students must be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2015. New 1st Grade students must be 6 years old on or before September 1, 2015. During the school year, students with completed registration may start school the following school day. Students will not be allowed to begin class the day of registration.

Cobb County requires 5 documents for enrollment. Please be sure to bring ALL documents with you to registration:
   1) Completed Certificate of Immunization
   2) Certificate of Vision, Hearing, Dental and Nutritional Screening
   3) Certified Birth Certificate
   4) Two Proofs of Residency in School Attendance Zone
   5) Social Security Card or Waiver

Also required are the names and phone numbers of the people authorized to pick up your child if you can not be reached, as well as your child's doctor information.

Please call the school office for details about registering your child.

Important Information About Dismissal Changes
Dismissal changes may only occur with a written note from a parent, including in the agenda OR a parent coming in person to the Sedalia Park office to submit a written form.  Please know that your child will be dismissed in their usual way unless this procedure is followed. This is for the safety of all students.  Emails/phone calls will not be accepted as a way to communicate a transportation change.  Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
