Acworth Elementary School welcomes CAREing Paws, the Georgia
Chapter of the National Organization of R.E.A.D. R.E.A.D. stands
for Reading Educational Assistance Dogs. We now have our very own
team consisting of a handler and a R.E.A.D dog. Ms. D and Bear
have been trained to support the reading program here at Acworth.
Bear loves to hear students read stories to him, so he has the
pleasure of listening to our students read 2 days a week during the
ASP/RSP hours. Bear is an All-Star dog
because he loves to read!
