Substitutes Needed

The School District will host TWO Substitute Job Fairs on Tuesday 4/22/14 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am.  For applicants interested in substituting for the North Area Schools (North of Powder Springs including North Marietta, East Cobb, Kennesaw and Acworth) the job fair will be held at Piedmont Baptist Church located at 570 Piedmont Road, Marietta, 30066.  For applicants interested in substituting for the South Area Schools (Includes Smyrna, Powder Springs, Austell, and Mableton—South Marietta area), the job fair will be held at Skyview Elementary School located at 5805 Dunn Road, Mableton, 30126. To attend applicants must complete the following REQUIREMENTS:

1-RSVP by sending an email to EITHER  OR You can only RSVP to one fair and this should be the geographic area you plan to work as a substitute. You must RSVP by 4/15/14.

2-Bring a resume with you to the fair detailing all of your work and educational experience.

3-Be prepared to briefly meet with an Administrator.

The T-PAT activities are as follows:

·   Plan for the 2014 Spring Parent  Symposium

·   Brainstorm ideas on parent workshops

·   Suggest collaboration ideas with our community

·   Parent Input on the Cobb County School District Comprehensive LEA Improvement Plan (CLIP)

The first meeting will be Thursday, November 14, 2013 6:30 PM at Rose Garden (1870 Teasley Drive, Smyrna 30080).

Bus routes for the 2013-2014 school year are now posted on our Parent Information by the front entrance. You can also use the online bus route query system to identify the appropriate stop time, location and bus number for your children.

Security System

Our school has a security system for entering the building through the front doors. With this system, visitors need to "Buzz-In" after 8:10 AM.

On February 9, 2012 the Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE) received waivers from ten requirements of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) of 1965, as amended by No Child Left Behind (NCLB) of 2001. ESEA/NCLB requires that parents or guardians who have children attending a Title I school be notified of the school’s academic achievement as well as the school’s designation under Georgia’s ESEA Flexibility Waiver.
