WELCOME HOME to Cobb County to the Braves! In order to celebrate their move to Cobb County and opening day, the Braves support have chosen to visit Blackwell Elementary on Monday, April 10, for a WELCOME HOME parade through the halls.  We are decorating with banners, signs, and showing our support of the Braves on that day by wearing Braves tshirts/hats or the colors of the Braves (red, navy blue and yellow).  Thanks for choosing our school and GO BRAVES!!!




Scholastic Book Fair is coming to Blackwell the week of March 27-30.  Come buy some books for your child to enjoy and help the Media Center!!



Blackwell Elementary will host a family Science and Engineering night on Tuesday, March 28 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. in the cafeteria.  Please join us to learn about fun science and engineering activities you can do with your children!  The Book Fair will also be open during this time in the Media Center.


  The Cobb County School District will be registering all new kindergarten students and students new to first grade for the upcoming 2017-18 school year on March 29, 2017, at all Cobb County elementary schools, including Blackwell Elementary from 8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.  There is NO afternoon registration time.  Georgia law requires that kindergarten students be five years old on or before September 1, 2017.  First grade students must be six years old on or before September 1, 2017, to be registered.

The Daniell Middle School PTSA is pleased to invite you to our inaugural “Taste of Daniell” event taking place 6:30-8:30pm on Thursday, March 30th.  “Taste of Daniell” is an event to bring together and celebrate the cultural diversity we have at Daniell Middle School through fabulous entertainment, delicious food, and a silent auction. But we need your help!  We would love for you to share special family recipes with our Daniell family.  If you have a dish that you would like to bring to share at the event, please email Katherine Johnson and include your name, your school, your student’s name and grade, country of origin, and the type of dish.   All kinds of cuisine are welcome!  If you have any questions, please contact Katherine.

2016-2017 Strategic Plan

- The school building opens at 7:20 a.m. Please do not drop students off before 7:20 a.m.
- School starts at 7:50 AM
- Breakfast will be served until 7:45 AM
- Student check-out is not permitted after 1:45 PM
- All transportation changes must be in the form of a hand written note with a signature and a date. We cannot accept changes that are sent via email, fax, text, or phone.

Cobb County School District is now offering Office 365 to students. For more information please visit the district’s Instructional Technology page. The student username was sent to parents in an email from the district. It is similar to an email address. The student password for Office 365 is their student number.
